Our botulinum toxin foundation course is the perfect start to becoming a competent and safe aesthetics practitioner. It will ground you in best practices you will use throughout your career.

This one day course at our clinic in Harewood teaches you to deliver safe and successful treatments with botulinum toxin on the upper face. 

The complete course is CPD certified.   

After enrolling on this course you will initially complete some e-learning to ensure you are fully prepared and well informed prior to your training day.  The comprehensive e-learning is delivered in a clear format that is interactive and easy to read in preparation for your training.

You will be able to treat patients and gain insurance after successfully completing the foundation day. 

Our courses allow up to 4-5 delegates to maximise your learning experience.  You will have the opportunity to learn by demonstration, consulting and assessing, along with a hands-on approach with close supervision and support.

What is Botulinum Toxin?

Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxin that is used to treat lines and wrinkles on the face which are caused by facial movements such as frowning and smiling.

What does a Botulinum Toxin treatment involve?

A very small quantity of botulinum toxin is injected directly into the muscles that cause lines using a fine needle. This relaxes the muscle and the skin in the affected area smooths out. Because the muscle is not able to move as much, the treatment also prevents new lines and wrinkles from forming, as well as improving the appearance of existing wrinkles. Results are typically visible 10-14 days after treatment and can last between 3 and 6 months.

Our dermal filler foundation course is the perfect start to becoming a competent and safe aesthetics practitioner.

This one-day course at our clinic in Harewood teaches you to deliver safe and successful treatments with dermal filler to the mid-face. 

The complete course is CPD certified.   

After enrolling on this course you will be provided with some e-learning to complete.  This is to ensure you are fully prepared and well-informed prior to your training day.

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are injected into skin and soft tissue to restore plumpness and volume that is lost through ageing. Dermal fillers can be used to improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the face, to lift and enhance facial contours and to add plumpness and definition to the lips.

What does the Dermal Filler treatment involve?

Dermal fillers are injected underneath the skin in the area requiring treatment. The results can be seen immediately following treatment as the filler softens or restores volume to hollow areas and lines on the face. Some bruising and swelling can occur following a dermal filler injection, resolving naturally in the days following the treatment. Depending on what type of dermal filler has been used, results can last from 4 to 24 months.

What does the Dermal Filler training course involve?  

The foundation dermal filler course aims to equip you to become a safe and successful aesthetic practitioner. 

Our course is structured to help you achieve this in a timely manner within a small group or one-to-one setting.

Prior to your on-site course you will complete a programme of online e-learning, presented in a easy-to-follow interactive format.  This is designed to give you background knowledge, so that you get the best out of your training experience.

The training day will give you the theory and knowledge to safely and competently administer dermal filler treatments as well as consolidating your e-learning knowledge.

The afternoon gives practical experience for you to learn how to administer dermal filler treatment and discuss complications management.

Following the demonstration, you will complete a full medical consultation with your model, to assess their face and suitability for the treatment.  You will discuss the treatment with your model and ensure they understand any risks or side effects.

You will carry out the treatment on your model under supervision. As our training courses are limited to small groups and one-to-one, the practical session will provide you with the opportunity to observe a wide range of treatment indications and techniques, ask questions, and build your confidence.

You will be instructed and supported to use both needle and cannula techniques for the following indications:

GMC, GDC, NMC, GPhC and HCPC who are already trained in Advanced Dermal Fillers and meet our entrance criteria on application.

DESO BODY and DESO FACE are the next generation of injectable sodium deoxycholate ‘fat dissolvers’ in the UK.

Deso fat-dissolving injections are designed to treat those difficult localised pockets of fat.

In line with similar injectable treatments, the active ingredient is sodium deoxycholate, proven to reduce fat deposits for the right patients.

The product is conveniently separated into: 

Desoface and Desobody and side effects are minimal.

The sterile solution is indicated for localised adiposity of the face, neck and body.  When treating the body localised adiposity is reduced and skin firmness is improved.  When treating the face, drainage of excess fluids takes place as well as reduced localised adiposity.

This treatment requires skill with administration to obtain the best results. Injections may only be administered subcutaneously, avoiding muscular or dermal tissue.  You will learn a technique called intralipotherapy to administer this product.

We require you to be a practitioner who has been trained in injectable aesthetics and must be working confidently with dermal filler and cannula injections.

This course is worth 10 CPD Hours.

What is Sodium Deoxycholate?

Sodium Deoxycholate is a sodium salt of deoxycholic acid which is a naturally occurring bile acid present within the body. It’s ability to effect cell membranes in adipocytes when injected makes it perfect for fat dissolving procedures and when injected subcutaneously, it disrupts cell membranes in adipocytes and destroys fat cells in that tissue making it the perfect agent to remove stubborn pockets of fat such as under the chin, stomach, back rolls, flanks and around the knees.  

We will cover the off label use of DCA on the day but are happy to answer any questions you may have prior to training.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections (Botulinum Toxin)

Due to our tight schedule, we ask that all anti-wrinkle injection models have all three “standard” areas of botulinum toxin. These are: horizontal lines on the forehead, frown lines between the eyebrows and “crow’s feet” at the corners of the eyes.

Fat Reduction Treatment

You must have stubborn pockets of fat in any of the following areas: arms, back rolls, sides of thighs, inner thighs, inner knee area, stomach or double chin.

Dermal filler

We can not treat you if you have had dermal filler in the same area within the last 3 months.
