Fotana IntimaLase®
IntimaLase®
Laser vaginal tightening is often sought by women who experience vaginal laxity or looseness, which can occur due to factors such as childbirth, hormonal changes, aging, or genetics. Some women may also experience mild urinary incontinence or decreased sexual satisfaction as a result of vaginal laxity, and laser vaginal tightening can potentially address these concerns.
How does IntimaLase® work?
- Fotona’s 2940 nm Er:YAG non-ablative laser with proprietary “smooth-mode” technology thermally effects the vaginal tissue, stimulating collagen remodelling and the synthesis of new collagen fibres in the vaginal mucosa tissue and collagen-rich endopelvic fascia.
- The final result of collagen neogenesis and remodelling is the tightening of the vaginal canal.
Unique advantages of IntimaLase®
This treatment is a non-ablative, minimally invasive procedure offering a safer, faster patient-friendly solution that avoids the undesirable complications present with other vaginal tightening methods.
Clinical results show a tightened vaginal canal, greater sexual satisfaction and significant improvement in a patient’s quality of life.
Usually two sessions are recommended. No special pre-op preparation or post-op precautions are necessary. Patients can immediately return to their normal everyday activities.

What to expect at the time of your surgery:
Laser vaginal tightening is typically performed using a specialised laser device that emits controlled laser energy. The laser is inserted into the vagina, and the energy is delivered to the targeted tissues. The laser energy creates microscopic injuries in the tissue, which triggers the body’s natural healing response. As a result, new collagen fibres are produced, leading to firmer, tighter vaginal tissues.
