Anti-Wrinkle Injections & Dermal Fillers
Anti-Wrinkle Injections & Dermal Fillers
Keeping your face smooth and supple is no easy task. Wrinkles form as our skin gets older and less elastic, and the sun does its fair share of damage too.
Injectable anti ageing treatments are a quick and convenient way to smooth out those lines on the forehead and around the eyes and mouth without any need for surgery.
Botulinum type A injections and Dermal fillers
Smoothing out laughter lines and wrinkles caused naturally by ageing or sun exposure has never been quicker or easier.
Botulinum type A is used for anti-wrinkle treatment, and is a great option to smooth out forehead lines, frown lines and crows feet. It can be used on the lower face to turn up corners of the mouth, correct gummy smiles or flip the lips out to give a fuller look. It can be used on the neck to relax the jaw-line, platysmal bands in the neck and give a more defined jaw-line (Nefertiti neck lift). On the body it is often used for excessive sweating and migraine relief.
Dermal Fillers are hyaluronic acid gel based products which are used to restore or enhance volume and structure. Some fillers have collagen boosting capabilities too.
These products can be used to achieve a more youthful, fresh look as they restore lost volume.
Please note that as a guide 0.5 ml is adequate for natural lips and 1 ml is for full lips / deep and/or multiple lines.
How does it work?
We use a range of specialised injectables to rejuvenate the skin and combat wrinkles, encouraging the growth of collagen which strengthens the skin and smooth away lines and folds.
How will I feel during treatment?
Generally the main discomfort felt is the sensation of the needle, which is transient.
What is the right treatment for me?
Your specialist will discuss the anti-ageing treatments available to help you select the best procedure from our range of anti-ageing injectables.
What happens afterwards?
There are very few after effects associated with injectable treatments. Soreness and mild swelling sometimes occur, but disappear within a short period. Your expert will go into detail and explain how to care for your skin after having the anti-ageing treatment that you choose.
ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS

Common treatment areas include:
FOREHEAD LINES
Forehead lines develop across the forehead, which can age you beyond your years and lead to an “angry” appearance, even when your face is resting.
GLABELLAR LINES/WRINKLES
These are the frown lines between your eyebrows, sometimes also called number 11 lines due to their appearance being similar to two parallel lines, which can lead to an “angry” looking appearance when severe.
CROW’S FEET WRINKLES
Commonly known as “laughter lines”, these lines initially only show when smiling, but with time and sun exposure they become more permanent, even when you are not smiling.
NON-SURGICAL EYEBROW LIFT
With aging, the eyebrows can drift down, resulting in an angry, tired or aged appearance. Sometimes referred to as the “Hollywood Brow Lift”, this can help restore the youthful arch without surgery.
BUNNY LINES
They may sound cute, but these are the wrinkles that appear next to your nose when you smile or scrunch up your nose.
LIP/SMOKER’S LINES
Smoker’s lines or lipstick lines appear as fine lines coming from the lips, and are worse when the mouth is puckered. Can be combined with dermal fillers.
SQUARE JAWLINE/MASSETER REDUCTION
In some people, the masseter (jaw) muscles become enlarged (hypertrophy), which leads to a square looking jawline. This can be due to bruxism (teeth grinding at night).
DIMPLED CHIN
Also called orange-peel chin, peau d’orange chin, or cobblestone chin. This is where the chin delevops an excessively dimpled appearance whenever the chin muscle contracts.
NERFERTITI NECK LIFT/JAWLINE DEFINITION
This helps to create a more defined jawline and restore the elegant lines of the neck, by tightening and contouring without the need for surgery.
PLATYSMAL BANDS/NECK LINES
Coronation Street fans will probably know these best as the “Deirdre Neck”. They are the aging neck lines that become more prominent with facial expressions and grimacing.
GUMMY SMILE
This is also known as gingival display, its the term often given to a smile that shows the gum under the upper lip.
HYPERHIDROSIS (EXCESS SWEATING UNDER THE ARMPITS)
BoNTA Injections temporarliy block chemical signals responsible for sweating, this treatment can be useful for people that struggle with excessive sweating and nothing else has worked.
DERMAL FILLERS
It may be that one type of treatment is more suited for the cosmetic effect desired, or a combination may provide the best results. This will be fully explored in the consultation prior to any treatment decisions.
The effects from both anti-wrinkle injections and dermal filler are not permanent, and usually last between 3 to 18 months depending on product used and area treated.
Common dermal filler treatment areas
Non-permanent fillers such as Juvéderm and Teoxane can be used to restore lost volume (e.g. to tear troughs, temples), enhance lips, and reduce deep wrinkles. It can also enhance cheekbones and correct asymmetrical faces; creating a more youthful appearance:
